The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced in his Con Maduro+ program his decision to uninstall the WhatsApp application, after verifying that this platform is being used to threaten people and institutions of the Venezuelan State.

“Say no to WhatsApp. Get WhatsApp out of Venezuela, because there criminals threaten youth, popular leaders, and I'm not going to break relations with WhatsApp. And then I'm going to delete my WhatsApp from my phone forever. Little by little I would transfer my contacts to Telegram and other social networks,” said the president.

He accused the owners of this North American company of revealing Venezuelan codes to attack Venezuelan society from Colombia, Chile and the United States.

“On WhatsApp they are threatening the Venezuelan military family. To the official status. (...) On WhatsApp they are threatening anyone who does not speak out in favor of fascism (...) First step: Voluntary, progressive and radical withdrawal from WhatsApp”, denounced the ruler who asked Venezuelans to follow him on the Telegram and WeChat applications.

And to WhatsApp we say. WhatsApp, fuck off. Stop threatening Venezuelans and Venezuelan women. Because it's used by criminals. Criminals have Colombian, Chilean and gringo chips,” he said during his show Con Maduro+.
