This Sunday, June 23, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted with the arrival of the symbolic remains of Cristóbal Mendoza, to the National Pantheon, a debt has been settled with “the liberators of America and the noble, courageous, hardworking and honest people of Trujillo”.

In that sense, from the National Pantheon where he received the symbolic remains of this great Trujillo native, he described this date as a historic, glorious and beautiful day. “Welcome Cristóbal Mendoza, welcome to where you should always be,” he said.

He reaffirmed that Mendoza comes to the Pantheon to be next to “The Heroes of the Fatherland, next to (Simon) Bolí v ar, his boss, his faithful friend and his companion”.

He highlighted that thanks to a historic “mutation” of struggle in Venezuela, great men and women emerged who gave their lives for the Fatherland, such as Cristóbal Mendoza, Manuel Piar, Francisco De Miranda, Juana Ramírez, Rafael Urdaneta, Simón Rodríguez, Ana María Campos, Josefa Camejo and the greatest leader in the history of all of America, Simon Bolivar.
