The candidate of the Bolivarian Revolution, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that the revolutionary people flooded the streets of the 70 cities of Venezuela, on the occasion of their participation in the Great March for Victory, to kick off the “Our Venezuela of the 21st Century” Campaign, for his re-election to the Presidency of the Republic.

The statement was made by the head of state, through an audio, in which he made a kind of assessment of the days in the state of Zulia and Caracas, for the start of the aforementioned electoral campaign this Thursday, July 4th.

In that sense, he stated that it was “a tremendous start to this campaign, we went to Zulia, to San Francisco and the people of Zulia, “it overflowed” and explained that he made an appearance at 2:00pm, on instructions from the campaign team, “I found out that they were marching since 11 in the morning”.

“There were thousands, thousands and thousands, estimated to be about 60,000 people there in the San Francisco municipality,” he said.

President Maduro said that it hurt to see San Francisco and “my dear Maracaibo destroyed, abandoned, when the right wing wins Mayors, Governorates or the National Assembly, the People lose.”

For that reason, he assured that in the face of this scenario he almost had to declare himself governor of Zulia, as well as mayor of San de Francisco and Maracaibo, it's my turn, well, but the people of Zuliano must know that they are not orphans, they are not alone, they have me.”

He commented that he started his electoral campaign in Zulia and from there he moved to Caracas, where he tried to march but the avalanche of people prevented him from doing so.

“I tried to march, you saw the images, but it was very difficult, the passion was very great, from end to end on Libertador Avenue and Urdaneta Avenue, and on the other side, in Catia, Sucre Avenue, also from end to end,” he said.

He emphasized that “we are going with God, today the great force of peace has come out, violence and hatred cannot, the great force of love will not lead to more changes and transformations for freedom, prosperity and well-being”.

“The pilgrimage continues,” he said.
