The athletes who are going to represent Venezuela in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are not alone because they have the support of the People and the National Government, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“You represent a lot, from the humility of what you are; you can sometimes feel that you are alone, but you are not. Behind you there is a People, a youth watching you, following you and loving you,” said the Head of State during the flag ceremony for these athletes.

He also highlighted that athletes are the vanguard of a powerful sports movement that is rising up throughout Venezuela and where they are the example to follow for boys and girls.

In this regard, President Maduro assured that sports are one of the best options available to families to guide their children.
