The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that the peoples of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) have the right to the future and therefore the need for union to face all aggressions.
“Our peoples have rights to the future (...) it's our century, we don't say it as rhetoric, we don't say it as discourse, we say it as reality; this century has to be the century where our voice is heard with force and our peoples build a different reality articulated to the new world (...) where we break cultural, political, ideological, economic and financial ties and to achieve that we need union,” he said.
In this regard, during the 25th Meeting of the Political Council of ALBA-TCP, he emphasized that in order to consolidate the definitive unity of peoples, it is imperative to overcome intrigues and threats, which only seek division.
“Beware of the other divide and conquer, it is a maxim of empires,” he warned and pointed out that our peoples have many accumulated struggles and heroics thanks to our heroes who faced empires, just as today our peoples face it.
“'The future is not begged', Sandino would say; the right to the future is conquered with struggle, with work, with rebellion, with perseverance and with the truth in between, building powerful moral, ideological, political and cultural forces; building powerful forces among all and all,” he said.
