During the Great Congress of the Bolivarian Historical Bloc of the 21st Century, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the spirit of freedom and equality that maintained this space for debate and discussion of revolutionary and patriotic forces to give rise to more than 500 thousand proposals for the consolidation of the Revolution in the coming years.
“I congratulate those who have come with criticism and self-criticism... The beauty of this congress is that it was the congress of the free, of the free, where the ideas of all its participants circulated and 500 thousand proposals came up,” he stressed.
He specified that this Congress, which convenes the 5 generations of the Bolivarian Revolution, 101 thousand assemblies were held, stressing that all these debates were horizontal. “There were no bosses here,” he said.
He considered that this space evidences “the great democratizing burden that Bolívar was talking about”.
