President Maduro: There is only one path to peace and that is dialogue

“There is only one path to peace and the path is dialogue, understanding, respect for the Constitution and the law; and from that path no one or nothing will get us out of it,” said the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, during his speech at the Solemn Opening Session of the Judicial Year 2024.

In this regard, he specified that dialogue in the different sectors has been fundamental for the country's development, “ economic dialogue has been key to economic recovery, to build with our own efforts, social dialogue has been key to serving our people with what little we have (...) Cultural dialogue has been key to reinforcing elements of cultural identity, political dialogue has been key so that a large block of opposing men and women will join the parliamentary elections of 2020 and they were successful”.

The head of state specified that “no one, no last name, no one, no one is above the Constitution or the powers and least of all the People”. He also said that “it seems that in 25 years they have not drawn the conclusion, it seems that they are dominated by arrogance, ambition, personal interests, hatred and the desire for revenge”.

Finally, he warned the right to “make no mistake with me or with the Armed Forces or with the public authorities or with the Constitution, make no mistake”.
