Through the social network X, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Wednesday that the Bolivarian Revolution will continue to protect and care for the grandparents of Venezuela, through the Missions and Great Missions, in order to commemorate the National Day of the Elderly.

Since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, we have cared for and protected the people, the most vulnerable sectors, the elderly. We are the conscience and memory of Venezuela (...) With the great missions of the new generation, we will continue to support the system of social guarantees. Venezuela is going up!” , wrote the Head of State on the social network this Wednesday.

He also recalled how the miserable governments of the Fourth did so much harm to older adults. “We know that in the Fourth Republic, the ruling oligarchy despised and repressed grandmothers and grandparents. For this reason and because of the hatred that there was for the humble, today the people say to them: The last names will not return! The oligarchy will not return! Never again!” , he said.

He reaffirmed that for the Revolution, older adults are an inspiration “with their courage, conscience and willpower. We will continue to work tirelessly to repay all the effort and sacrifice that our grandparents have made, and continue to do, for the Fatherland. Love pays for itself with love! National Day of the Elderly!”
