This Tuesday, December 17, the President
of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that, as part of Venezuela's participatory
and leading democracy, the People now exercise the Judicial Power with their elected Judges
and Justices of the Peace.
“Let's continue to accelerate and deepen the
construction of the grassroots power of the People, you already have their Judges, and the
People exercise the Judicial Power in the community, in the territory,” he said during
a meeting with the Bolivarian National Militia.
At the same time, he extended congratulations to the
communities and to the Judges elected last Sunday on an
extraordinary day that took place in peace and without any setbacks.
In that sense, he stressed that the elite democracy practiced in the Fourth Republic ended here. “Here democracy belongs to the People, for the People and with the People, popular democracy, organized people, empowered people,” he said.
