President Maduro: The Government will consolidate a powerful movement of grandparents' and grandmothers' circles

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Tuesday, March 25, emphasized that for the Bolivarian Government it is of the utmost importance to build a solid support network aimed at caring for the grandparents and grandmothers of the Fatherland, in order to build their rights and prioritize their well-being.

In this regard, he said that “we have to consolidate a very powerful movement of grandparents' and grandmothers' circles throughout Venezuela, to set an example and to build their social, security and fundamental rights with their hands.”

The approach was made during a meeting with the grandparents and grandmothers of the Fatherland at the inauguration of the House of Grandparents and Grandmothers, located on Avenida Bolívar, in the parish of La Candelaria in Caracas.

The head of state pointed out that in these spaces, areas are activated, so that older adults feel valued and cared for at this stage of their lives, such as arts and crafts, recreation, integral well-being and administrative management and crafts, “as part of the strengthening of the Fourth Transformation that ensures Supreme Social Happiness.”
