The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that whatever the empire does, it will not succeed in separating Venezuela from Colombia because they are nations that have a common destiny.

“We will not be separated from Colombia no matter what the empires of the North do,” he asserted from the “World Social Alternative” meeting held by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).

“The union, cooperation and shared development of this immense region freed by the sword of Bolivar. We have a common father: Simon Bolivar, our founding father,” added the Head of State.

The statement of the head of state resulted from detailing the issues he addressed in recent days with his Colombian counterpart, Gustavo Petro, who paid a working visit to Caracas.

“Climate change is already a climate emergency, what Fidel said, his prophecy of 92, was fulfilled. There will be time. I talked a lot with President Petro and we dedicated almost an hour to talking about the climate emergency,” that is, “mitigation tasks, President Petro, I think he is one of the brightest minds on the subject of climate change,” said President Maduro.
