The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that Venezuela closed the year 2024 with annual inflation of 48%, which is the lowest since 2012.

He explained that this is inflation based on a balanced productive economic policy.

In that sense, he asserted that by 2025 inflation will be better.”

He noted that “we had annualized inflation, this year as a trend in some months, we had the lowest inflation in 40 years.”

“We came from an inflation, in 2019, in the midst of the Guaidó coup d'etat of 344 thousand percent and annualized in 2018, it was 130 thousand percent,” she said at the Teresa Carreño Theater, where she gave her Annual Message to the Nation, as established in article 237 of the National Constitution.
