President Maduro: Starting this Tuesday, the Economic Council declares itself in permanent session

President Maduro urged the National Economic Council to submit a work plan

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that starting this Tuesday, January 21, the Economic Council will declare itself in permanent session.

The information was provided during the meeting with the Economic Council and the appointment of those responsible for the Productive Engines, where he said “I want to announce that the Economic Council is declaring itself in permanent session, under the direction of Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, who also serves as Executive Secretary”.

He specified that this council will be made up of ministers Anabel Pereira, Gabriela Jiménez, Alex Saab, Juan Carlos Loyo, “who will strongly assume this new moment in the national economy and, in addition, Minister Ricardo Menéndez will lead the planning of our strategies.”

In this regard, he urged the National Economic Council to present a work plan that complies with: Actions to advance an export replacement plan, through domestic production and an Investment and Credit Plan or, prioritizing the country's real economy.

He also indicated that it contains a Production Plan for income in convertible, alternative and growing currencies for the national economy and refining the Public Procurement Plan.

Finally, the head of state mentioned that progress must be made in the country's tax development plan, in order to continue expanding the collection base, in order to put an end to tax evasion, as well as to specify and harmonize laws and tax collection.
