President Maduro: Sovereign management of AI will allow the comprehensive collapse of our peoples

This Saturday, March 29, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, welcomed the agreement of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) on technological matters regarding the development and management of artificial intelligence (AI).

“I am glad that fundamental steps have been taken to form a unified team for the development of the ALBA Artificial Intelligence Center; it's a big decision, a big step, fortunately,” he said during his speech at the 25th Political Council of ALBA-TCP.

In this regard, he emphasized that this will allow “the development of a sovereign, autonomous management capacity, specific to artificial intelligence for the integral development of our countries, for the integral development of economic planning, health, education, and so on.”

He reaffirmed that all these actions are carried out “always applying the founding and fundamental principles of our countries and of our movement, our organization”.
