The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent greetings this Tuesday to the Octubres Movement of Argentina, a Peronist organization that celebrates its 20th anniversary in the fight for justice and social equality.

“We are celebrating 20 years since the happy day, the blessed day on which the October Movement was born. Our recognition, admiration, commitment and affection to all and to all. To you Gastón Harispe (president of the organization) and to the entire working team (...) we are on the right side of history, those of us who seek the Independence of our continent, the dignity of our People, justice, equality,” said the Head of State in a message released on his YouTube channel.

The Venezuelan Dignitary stressed that there is a common “Latin American and Caribbean thought that is nourished by how much worth, how much struggle, the giants of all the time in the 19th century, in the 20th century and now in the 21st century”, highlighting the Argentine Peronist ideology and the Venezuelan Chavista ideology, “and in general we could call it Bolivarianism the search for dignity, the independence of the Great Homeland”.

He recalled that the movement was born in the heat of the fight against the FTAA, “when that collective song of the FTAA grew up there in Mar del Plata, to hell and to hell with the FTAA, it was buried by Néstor (Kirchner) there with (Hugo) Chávez and with others, but above all with the People. The meeting that remained there forever between Commander Chávez and the leadership of the popular social and political movements of deep Argentina at that time in November 2004 is unforgettable,” he added.
