The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, released this Thursday, November 14, a new broadcast of Con Maduro Live de Repente in which he denounced that the extreme right in Venezuela is trying to ride on the events recorded in recent days in certain learning spaces in the country, in which boys and girls have been intoxicated by the execution of a viral challenge disseminated on social networks, calling for the closure of schools or high schools.

The Stadium Manager specified that “either they are behind this or they are trying to ride to try to harm something beautiful that has happened this year, which is the best start to the school year in the last 12 years.”

In this regard, President Maduro explained that this is a viral challenge introduced by social networks and that on the part of students it is known as a “challenger”, which has resulted in dozens of young people intoxicated.

“I have read on social networks that there is a viral challenge to prepare preparations in containers with different chemicals that cause poisoning, hives, breathing problems, mucous membranes of the eyes. These preparations are then irrigated in the desks, bathrooms, living room and that causes poisoning of various types,” he said

In that vein, he reported that “in Venezuela we have had seven cases, one in Guanare and Guanarito today, but we have also had cases in Rio Chico, Barinas, Portuguesa (...)”.

These are perverse cases of social networks that affect some young people. Hence, we make this call to be aware of their boys about what they see on the networks. “Social networks (TikTok and Instagram) publish aimed especially at boys and girls, not adults.”

For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, called for the conscience of representatives of children who become victims of social networks. “Social networks affect the educational process, especially for boys and girls under five years of age,” he said.
