President Maduro reiterated his commitment to the protection and defense of the People

One year after
registering his candidacy with the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the
elections of July 28, 2024, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified his commitment to the protection and defense of the People.
In a message
posted on his social networks, the Head of State recalled that a year ago
he respected the will “of almost 5 million leaders of the
deep grassroots, of the catacombs of the People”, who nominated him as a
presidential candidate “to continue fighting for the Fatherland and the future of all”.
“Moved by
such generosity and popular recognition, I registered my official candidacy
for the #28Jul presidential elections, which resulted in endorsing a
dream of Homeland, an invitation to continue transforming our reality,” he said.
In this regard,
he thanked ordinary men and women. “Today I reiterate my love and my
commitment to the respect, protection and defense of the People, above
my own life if necessary,” he emphasized.
