The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Saturday, March 30, expressed his regret over the physical departure of former US congressman William Delahunt, “a great friend of Venezuela, of Commander Chávez and mine personally.”

This was stated by the head of state, in his account on the social network X, in which he said that “together we participated in the founding of the Boston Group, a Venezuelan American parliamentary body in which we accumulated great experiences to unite the Peoples of the United States and Venezuela”.

President Maduro added that “we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time. A Big Hug!”
