President Maduro receives government delegation from the United Arab Emirates

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received this Friday the delegation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who arrived in the country on an official visit.

This visit to Venezuelan territory is led by the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, H.E. Dr. ThaniBin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi; the Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi, H.E. Rashed Abdulkaraim Al Blooshi; the Deputy Governor of Banking Operations and Support Services of the UAE Central Bank, H.E. Saif Al Dhaheri.

Likewise, the Vice President of Government Affairs of Emirates Steel —ARKAN, Mr. Saeed Belal Al Dhaheri; the director of International Operations of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Mr. Mohamed Al Wahedi; the Business Development Manager at ADNOC Global Trading, Mr. Khaled Al Khemeiri and the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, of the UAE Ministry of Economy, Mrs. Maryam Hussain Alloz.

This meeting between the Head of State and the representatives of the UAE was an appropriate space to discuss topics of interest and the bilateral cooperation work agenda that covers important areas such as oil, gas and petrochemical activities.

Venezuela and the United Arab Emirates maintain relations based on the principles of solidarity, mutual recognition and respect, which have allowed them to make progress in terms of cooperation in the fields of investment, housing construction systems, air transport and other aspects.

In June 2023, President Maduro held a meeting with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, at which they reviewed the bilateral cooperation work agenda.
