The president of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received this Tuesday the
members of the Bolivarian National Militia who marched in
civic-military union to commemorate the 194th anniversary of the passage to immortality of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.
From the
presidential house, the Head of State welcomed this group of men and
women and praised the impressive mobilization that traveled through the avenues of Caracas.
“Today they have already decorated it,” he said, highlighting the swearing in of the Bolivarian Militia Combatant
Corps and the activation of the Special Militia Unit
of the Honor Guard.
The Dignitary
recalled the day when, with the Organic Constituent Law of the Bolivarian
National Armed Forces, “the historic role was recognized and the Bolivarian National Militia was incorporated into Venezuelan
legislation as the fifth special
component of the Venezuelan Military Forces, to defend their sovereignty and their right to peace.”
