The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the Unveiling of the Statue of Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, in an act of historical vindication and love for the founder of the Bolivarian Revolution, vindicated the original peoples.

“Today, this is one of love, justice and historical vindication, I honor the chiefs and chiefs, Naiguatá, Guaicamacuto, Pariata, Maiquetía”, native inhabitants of the central coast who fought many battles and sowed the resistance of the people who never gave up.

“What was in the minds of these energetic people that fascism used the electoral campaign to create the “Comanditos” and the statues of the Indian Coromoto, José Gregorio Hernández, of El Libertador, and those of Commander Chávez came out to tear down,” the president reflected on the burning and destruction of the symbols of Venezuela.

The Head of State held the Comanditos responsible for financing “criminals” to tear down statues of former President Hugo Chávez in different states of the country in citizen protests against the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE) considered fraudulent but without presenting evidence of that accusation.
