The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the legacy of General Jacinto Pérez Arcay as one of the advisors and architects of the Bolivarian Revolution.

Through his Telegram channel, he commemorated Pérez Arcay's 93 years while expressing his deep admiration and respect for this distinguished man.

“For those of us who had the honor of knowing him, our GJ was a sower of ideas, values, and Bolivar's revolutionary ethics. We are left with the satisfaction of having recognized him in life,” he said.

He emphasized that Pérez Arcay has left an indelible mark on several generations of revolutionary men, including Commander Hugo Chávez, who today is an example of love and patriotism.

It is worth noting that Pérez Arcay graduated from the Military Academy in 1956 specializing in weapons and artillery. He served as Chief of Staff of the Chief Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), appointed by President Nicolás Maduro on July 11, 2019.

On February 15, 2012, he was promoted by Commander Chávez from Army Division General to Major General of the FANB. He was considered an advisor to the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution on historical, political and military issues.

He gave his life to the arms race and to the FANB. He wrote several books on the history of his nation and, according to scholars, made valuable considerations on the subject.
