President Maduro pays tribute to Ezequiel Zamora 207 years after his birth

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute this Thursday to the independence leader and “General of the Sovereign People”, Ezequiel Zamora, commemorating 207 years since his birth.

“207 years after his birth, we celebrate the life of G/J Ezequiel Zamora, a distinguished soldier of the Fatherland who forged his rebellious character in the heat of popular struggle, and with that awareness he took the Bolivarian path to rescue the people's dreams of freedom and justice,” said the head of state through his account on the social network X.

Zamora was born in 1817 in Cúa, Miranda state. The Federal War was the scene where this distinguished hero waged the battle for the social demands of the people, where he confronted the army of the conservatives.
