President Maduro: Palestine is declared permanent guest of ALBA-TCP

This Saturday, December 14, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that the member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) have declared Palestine as a permanent guest country in the regional block as part of actions in solidarity with the cause of the Palestinian People.

“The ALBA countries unanimously approved the declaration of Palestine as a permanent guest with the category of 'Brother Country of ALBA', starting with this Summit (...) one day we will hold a Summit with the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, you'll see,” he said at the XXIV ALBA-TCP Summit in Caracas.

He also reaffirmed that today the most just and humane cause in the world is that of the Palestinian people; at the same time he called on Pope Francis and all the nations of the world to raise their voices “for the rights of the Palestinian people, their land, their history, their legacy and their independence”.
