This Saturday, May 18, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the establishment of a Special Microfinance Plan for fishermen in the state of Nueva Esparta, with the purpose of encouraging the activity of the fishing sector in the state.

Also, during the working day called “The Productive Economy of Blue Venezuela” in Nueva Esparta, he made announcements to resolve the issue of access to fuel in the fishing sector in the eastern state.

“He ordered that this system come directly to the fishing sector with its clear identification and that the fishermen be the ones to establish the direct social comptroller on that issue, starting today, if you are the ones who have direct control of everything,” he said.

In the same way, he called for the installation of working groups between the fishing sector and representatives of Processing Plants in order to “achieve a minimum price for the octopus season” that favors the actors involved.

The Head of State thus ratified his commitment to continue working for policies that vindicate the fishing sector and the entire town of Nueva Esparta. “That love that you have given me in the streets today, I am going to give back, with more love, more support and more presence,” he said.
