In order to cushion the effects of the economic war promoted by the United States government, the Bolivarian Government, through a decree, has ordered the suspension of taxes affecting primary productive activity at the municipal level.

This was reported by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, at the Miraflores Palace, where he led a working day of the National Council for Productive Economy, accompanied by the heads of the 13 Productive Engines, as well as representatives of the country's public and private business sectors.

He specified that this measure will be applied starting next Monday, March 31.

He argued that in the face of the uncertainty created by the economic war in the world, and the announcements in particular against Venezuela, “everyone flies, to do what needs to be done and maintain stability and growth in the economy.”

This whole trade war is being waged to twist the arm of the rest of the world's economies and surrender them to the feet of the US hegemon. We do raise our voices and do not keep these truths silent,” he stressed.

In that regard, he commented that “the reappearance on stage of what we have called the war dollar (parallel dollar), the speculative dollar, we know is an old enemy of the Venezuelan economy. An old enemy of you, the economic actors.”

“We have to do everything that needs to be done to overcome the disruption created by the two announcements (Chevron and tariffs) of economic war by the United States government against Venezuela, and we can and will do it,” he said.
