The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed that the Venezuelan opposition sector has all the guarantees to carry out democratic and electoral politics in the country.

This was stated this Monday, January 20, in his social media accounts, in which he specified: “The Venezuelan opposition has all the guarantees to organize and carry out democratic, constitutional and electoral politics in the country.”

In the message, the head of state attached a video that is an extract of his Annual Message to the Nation, made at the National Assembly (AN), where he emphasized that he does not consider members of the opposition enemies, but adversaries, opponents in the political sphere, in terms of ideology.

During 2025, at least nine electoral processes will be held in the country: the six popular elections, the parliamentary elections, the consultation of governors in the 24 states, mayors and municipal councils.

Last Friday, the 17th, the National Electoral Council (CNE) convened a permanent session to analyze the proposals submitted by the AN, as a result of meetings with political organizations, as well as whether they will be held together or separately.
