The president of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that Operation
Lightning of Catatumbo continues with the dismemberment of the Colombian
drug trafficking gang of former presidents Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque, with which he funds the national extreme right to harm the country.
“They (Uribe and
Duque) are hostages of North American imperialism to fulfill a single task, to
attack Venezuela and finance María Corina Machado, Edmundo
González Urrutia and the entire anti-patriotic extreme right, sell the homeland that is there.
That's the truth,” said the Head of State during the 74th broadcast
of his show Con Maduro+.
He pointed out that, with
the great work of the security forces of the Venezuelan State, “we have
politically dismantled, we have economically dismantled and we have dismantled all the
logistics of this gang and this story is stinging and spreading. You could put
this story to continue. Right now we can't say more (...) because
we can't say what is currently in full development, which is
perhaps a double blow than what we have already seen,” he said.
In this regard,
the Dignitary confirmed that Venezuela is certain “that the popular,
military and police fusion will fight and end, as we have proposed in the plan of
Q7, to exterminate and end any vestige of Colombian drug trafficking in
Venezuela and all criminal gangs will be finished, dismembered, because Venezuela deserves to have peace.”
