The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and candidate of the Homeland, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Thursday the importance of signing the agreement to recognize the results of the elections on July 28, to maintain peace in the country.
“Venezuela's peace of mind will always have our signature, we'll always be there when the referee summons us, if you sign up for a competition you have to respect the referee, it's the ABC of any competition,” said the revolutionary candidate from the National Electoral Council (CNE).
He stressed that the rubric of this agreement is “old-fashioned, because there are those who like to use electoral processes to prepare for violence, to shout fraud, and today with this signature we have said no, we want respect for the referee”.
