The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated the execution of a plan to free the Amazon from illegal mining, as well as the activation of a reforestation process in the country.

Through his account on the social network X, the head of state recalled that he instructed G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), to “begin with the liberation of all areas affected by destructive and illegal mining in the Amazon”, in the face of the recent collapse of the illegal mine “Bulla Loca”, in the state of Bolívar.

“I also directed the activation of the reforestation process aimed at the Preservation of Life on the Planet and the Salvation of the Human Species. Venezuela is a Territory of Peace, we are committed to the environmental conservation of our Homeland!” , he said.

During the #35 edition of Con Maduro+ this Monday, the Dignitary pointed out that this is “a tremendous battle against illegal mining”, so he ordered “the mobilization of the entire Civil Protection system, the ZODI and the FANB to determine what had happened in the negative event of the mine that left several people dead and the rescue to be brought forward”.
