President Maduro on Independence Day: The Dignified and Courageous People Will Never Regress

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the 213 anniversary of the country's Declaration of Independence this Friday, highlighting the people's steadfastness to defend the Homeland against any internal or external threat.

“213 years ago, a people rose up against the Spanish empire, planting the seeds of freedom. These were the first heartbeats of the Republic that we celebrate today with deep pride, and which we are willing to defend regardless of the size of the threat,” said the head of state through his account on the social network X.

In this regard, he stressed that “the dignified and courageous people will never retreat into the darkness of colonial oppression. Long live Bolivarian, independent and sovereign Venezuela!”
