President Maduro on CELAC: He takes steps in institutional strengthening

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recognized this Tuesday the work of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to respond, immediately, to the events that occurred in Ecuador against the Mexican embassy.

“It is an example that we have responded to this very serious situation in the way that it has been answered, in real time, it is an example that CELAC is taking steps towards its internal institutional strengthening and that the path we are taking is auspicious,” said the Head of State during his speech at the Extraordinary Virtual Summit of CELAC.

He stressed that CELAC is a space “to ventilate in a dialoguing and peaceful manner the serious, moderate differences of various kinds that we may have and that appear on stage.”
