Speaking about the way in which El Libertador Simón Bolívar led the army 203 years ago in Carabobo to consolidate the victory and rid the country of the Spanish yoke, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, exclaimed: “No one will take away our right to the future and to the victory of the Fatherland!
“What great power our Homeland had in those years (1821) and in order to understand what happened 203 years ago, we must understand the historical process and take its lessons, as a nourishing force for the battles we are fighting and for the victories we are going to have in the decades to come,” he said.
