The president of the Bolivarian Republic
of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asserted this Wednesday that the youth of which he was a part,
together with revolutionaries such as Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and the first
combatant Cilia Flores, accompanied Commander Hugo Chávez in his idea of refounding the Republic.
“I say that we are part of a foundational
generation that accompanied Commander Chávez in his task of refounding
the Republic, of founding a new Venezuela (...) he was the father of us, of
an entire people, we are the founding young generation,” said the National Executive
during episode No. 7 of the Maduro Podcast.
He also recalled that while the
Revolution trained young people to defend the Homeland, the right wing formed a
youth whose objective was to promote violence and destabilize the country.
“Some of them known as (Yon) Goicoechea, (Freddy) Guevara, (Juan)
Guaidó and for you to count, but they were the replacement generation for Julio
Borges, (María Corina) Machado, (Leopoldo) López, (Henrique) Capriles; trained in the United States, prepared as agents in Venezuelan politics,” he said.
He emphasized that, at the same time, the Revolution formed
a youth that came from the grassroots of the People. “Led by Robert Serra,
Héctor Rodríguez, and others, that young middle generation is in charge
today, we have several governors,” he said.
In the same way, he highlighted the role of young people who are born today and who are now part of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission.
