President Maduro mourns the death of his Namibian counterpart: An unconditional friend of Venezuela

The head of state of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent his condolences to the people of Namibia this Sunday, for the death of the president of the African nation, Hage Geingob.

“ With deep regret I dismiss the brother President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, who took a step towards immortality; I remember him as an unconditional friend of Venezuela, who always condemned the imperialist blockade and was a permanent defender of causes for social justice,” said the president through his account on the social network X.

In his message, he stressed that Geingob “was a tireless fighter against apartheid and racial discrimination, and one of the most important leaders of SWAPO, for the fight for the independence of his nation. I express my deepest condolences to his family and to the people of Namibia. Honor and Eternal Glory!” , he added
