President Maduro met with the co-chair of the Iran-Venezuela High Level Joint Commission

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received the co-president of the High-Level Joint Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Aziz Nasirzadeh, at the Miraflores Palace, with whom he held a fruitful conversation to consolidate the ongoing cooperation map; this action shows the brotherhood and solid and fruitful cooperation between the two nations.
Authorities from Venezuela and Iran held meetings for four days as part of the 10th High-Level Joint Commission, where, through the installation of working groups, they reviewed 80 agreements signed in the last two years out of the nearly 300 that have consolidated this highest-level cooperation.
This week, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, pointed out that Venezuela and Iran have signed 298 agreements in various areas of interest such as energy, financial, petrochemical, industrial, mining, domestic production, science and technology, education, health, air connectivity, tourism, agriculture, fishing and others, since these trade relations were strengthened, since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution.
Iran is a strategic partner for Venezuela, a sister nation, with which the country has strengthened an alliance based on respect, solidarity, complementarity and win-win agreements for the benefit of the Peoples.
Venezuela and Iran play a major role in current geopolitics and are key players in balancing the energy market as founding countries of OPEC in 1960.
