President Maduro led the event on the occasion of the 203rd anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro led the commemoration of the 203rd Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo and Bolivarian Army Day, from the Carabobo Field.

When the day arrived, he placed a wreath before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, to honor the heroes and heroines of Carabobo. In the company of the first combatant, the deputy Cilia Flores, as well as the country's Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez and the president of the National Assembly (AN); Jorge Rodríguez, the Head of State toured the spaces of the Carabobo Camp where the Liberation Army, commanded by the father of the Fatherland, Simón Bolívar, carried out the historic feat of making Venezuela independent.

The sectoral vice-president of Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister of Popular Power for Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López presented the different components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) present at the event. In his words, he stated that the meeting held at “the historic home of the Fatherland aims to honor and recognize so much effort the heroes and heroines of the emancipatory feat of the Fatherland (...) The Bolivarian Army, as the genesis of the FANB, is extremely proud of our components as a single armed force in the integral defense of the Homeland.”
