President Maduro leads the funding ceremony for the 2024 Community Coffee Plan

This Wednesday, October 16, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led the award ceremony for the 2024 Community Coffee Plan, in which he emphasized that “the objective is to promote a productive homeland with new management and production models”.

This was stated when referring to the fact that the Bolivarian Government has “initiated a historic project, from La Vergareña, in the state of Bolivar, the Great Patria Grande do Sul Project, with the Landless Movement of Brazil to make the most of land with agroecological management models, to produce organic food”.

“The liberation of the Peoples of South America is in the land, in work, in the new economy, in production,” he said.

He argued that it is essential to produce, but “taking care of the earth, the water, taking care of the ecological balance. With the concept of Conuco, which contains our indigenous roots”.

“One of Commander Hugo Chávez's objectives is for the Commune to become an articulating axis of democracy. That the means of production are not in the hegemony of a leadership,” he stressed.

The head of state stated that “Venezuela has already managed to break that hegemony, now we are in communal democracy, we have succeeded, with the development of productive capacity.”
