This Tuesday, March 25, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, leads a meeting with the grandparents and grandmothers of the Fatherland at the inauguration of the House of Grandparents and Grandmothers, located on Avenida Bolívar, in the parish of La Candelaria in Caracas.

The space is part of the actions aimed at deepening comprehensive care for older adults. This headquarters will serve 200 older adults per day, working together between the Popular and Communal Government Systems for the empowerment of the country's grandparents and grandmothers.

During the activity, he highlighted the importance of sharing for grandmothers and grandparents for their well-being, for this reason, “each Grandparents' House must be a center for human communication, for the human being, for being loved, embraced and for sharing; it has to be a community”.

The head of state stressed that next May will mark the first year of the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland.

“Blessed is the day we were able to turn into reality the dream of creating a great mission for a new generation that serves our older adults in a very special way,” he said.

This House of Grandparents and Grandmothers has several access roads, such as Bolívar Avenue, which connects to Plaza de La Juventud, and two secondary side accesses and one through the Urban Agriculture Center.
