President Maduro leads installation of the Electoral Commission for the Election of Justices of the Peace

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led this Wednesday the Installation of the National Electoral Commission for the Election of Justices of the Peace, at the headquarters of the National Assembly, in Caracas.

“Coming to the National Assembly always brings great memories because in these spaces where we arrived very young, we arrived to fight for Venezuela. Our first steps led to closing the sanctuary of the old bandit, corrupt Congress,” said the Head of State during his speech.

He recalled that, then, space was opened for the popular Constituent process and for the election of the National Constituent Assembly in 1999.

“We were also here as constituents, in these spaces of the Federal Legislative Palace, which are a museum of the Nation, are a heritage of the Nation,” he recalled.
