The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Nicolás Maduro, criticized the colonialist vision that Europe maintains
in Latin America on Tuesday and called the high representative of the European Union (EU) for
Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, as a racist and warrior.
“Europe's colonialist vision of Latin America is
alive, all those people are raw. Josep Borrell, for example, is a racist, he's
a colonialist, he's a warrior and he's a guy who supposedly comes from the
left, all these people have our colonialist, despising vision, they see
us over our shoulders,” said the head of state.
During the ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of the release
of Commander Hugo Chávez from the Prison of Dignity, the Dignitary recalled that “that
's why we threw all the colonialists out of here (...) it was up to
organize an army and reach Ayacucho and leave colonialism in this land forever”.
He highlighted that, almost two centuries later, “Bolivar was resurrected, he was
reborn here in the spirit of the anti-imperialist, anti-colonialist rebellion of February 4, 1992,” led by
the Supreme Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez.
