President Maduro inaugurates the XXI National Sports Games “Oriente 2024”

President Nicolás Maduro led the inauguration of the National and Paranational Sports Games East 2024, which is being held in the states of Anzoátegui, Monagas and Sucre.

“Long live the youth, long live Venezuela, long live the homeland today the day has come boys and girls, athletes, beautiful youth, today Friday, November 8, 2024, I declare the inauguration of the national sports games of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” said the head of state from the José Antonio Anzoátegui stadium.

The start of the important competitive event is a national sports festival, contagious, full of energy and joy that runs through every discipline, stressed the national president, who arrived in the company of the first fighter Cilia Flores de Maduro.

Previously, during the Con Maduro+ program this Monday, I had emphasized the importance of directing efforts towards mass sports, combined with the recruitment of new talent and, above all, in preparing for national and international competitions.

“We must go to mass sports for the development of talent, in neighborhoods, schools, high schools, universities. Combining sports mass with the development and strengthening of internal competition in national and paranational sports games,” added the President in relation to sectoral policies.

The National Dignitary stressed that the country is in full swing, as an expression of the hard work that the Bolivarian Government has put on national sports.

President Maduro concluded that we must move towards preparing for these cycles of sports competition, which begin today.
