The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated the Siervo de Jesús Granados stadium in the Charallave Olympic Village in Miranda state. The day was accompanied by the governor of the entity Héctor Rodríguez, young athletes and the organized Popular Power.

During the tour, Governor Rodríguez reported that this is the 11th court inaugurated in the state of 30 to be refurbished in the 21 municipalities. He explained that among the works carried out are the recovery of 2,500 square meters of the athletic track, as well as 500 square meters corresponding to the structure of stands and benches. Also noteworthy is the installation of two 11 professional soccer goals.

The sports complex has spaces dedicated to the practice of athletics and football in its different categories, a favorable occasion for the Head of State to call for the creation of a powerful children's and youth soccer movement in Venezuela.

“Here we have to build a powerful children's and youth soccer movement, because Venezuela has to go to the soccer world cup and these children will one day be champions,” he said.

For his part, Governor Héctor Rodríguez pointed out that each of the recovered courts in the state is accompanied by an organized sports movement. “I want to thank on behalf of all the Miranda youth who are today the national champion of the National Sports Power Games.”
