“In Venezuela there is peace and a mobilized people in the streets,” emphasized the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, from the January 23 sector in the city of Caracas, where he participated in a community assembly with the candidates for the election of judges and justices of the peace on December 15.

During his speech, the head of state assured that “this Christmas, on January 10 and after January 10, there will be peace and national union”.

He warned the defeated former candidate of the Venezuelan extreme right, Edmundo González, to “not play with candle” and to cease his calls for a civil war in Venezuela.

“Old man, old man, be careful what you say from there because that has serious consequences, be careful with your words, make no mistake with the People of Venezuela, in Venezuela there will be no war. Respect Venezuela, you're violating the asylum agreement you signed in Spain, stop calling for a civil war,” he rebuked.
