President Maduro: Imperialism is determined to destroy alternative economic models

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that Venezuela is moving towards a higher education such as Bolivarian socialism, under the principles of equality in the various sectors.

“The goal of all the attack in recent years? To prevent an alternative model from being built from Venezuela that would demonstrate total success in achieving well-being, peace, a new democracy and that would demonstrate that there are alternatives to neoliberalism and wild capitalism”.

Referring to the historic impact that more than 930 unilateral coercive measures have had on the country's economy, he highlighted that the Venezuelan Government planned and organized social protection schemes to guarantee the Venezuelan population access to health, food and economic plans.

“First, to guarantee basic food with CLAP to our people; second, to ensure that education and health with the great missions were maintained in a phase of resistance; thirdly, we created the Patria system to try to guarantee with what little we had that something would come to people and design a production plan,” he explained.
