The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, honored the 171st anniversary of the birth of Cuban hero José Martí, who promoted the unity of Cuba's independence and revolutionary forces and a great thinker who stood out for his ideas of integrating the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We celebrate the life of someone who was a fervent defender of Bolivarian thought, a great writer, intellectual and political, admired in the world for his honesty, sensitivity and commitment to the cause of peoples,” he said through X.
