On the 165th anniversary of the beginning of the Peasant Revolution, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the courage and sacrifice of men and women in the Federal War.
“In defense of their rights, against the ruling oligarchy 165 years ago. The historic Popular Peasant Revolution that caused the outbreak of the Federal War. Honor and Glory!” , emphasized through the social network X.
General Ezequiel Zamora waged the battle for the social demands of the humble people, in Coro, Falcón state, it was part of the scenarios where the fighting took place, where he confronted the army of the conservatives. The battle resulted in a courageous people, who laid the foundations of what is now known as a civic-military union.
