President Maduro: Governorates must be turned around as an average so that they are at the service of the People

The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, called for the development of a method for choosing candidates for the revolutionary forces that is based on qualitative and quantitative aspects to ensure that he is an official who will transform the existing model of governance.

“We have historically won in most of the country's governorates, but what we have done is administer them, not transform them as we should,” he questioned while stressing that in the face of this, “everything has to change here .”

“These governorates must be turned around as an average so that they are at the service of the People,” he urged.

He pointed out that as part of the process for drafting the government plan for each governorate, it must be adjusted to the plan of the Seventh, and considered that in addition, “the People have to discuss what government they want.”

“We must accelerate the march so that governorates are instruments of great changes and transformations to build a new political model; it is a great opportunity, an enormous opportunity,” he stressed.
