President Maduro: Europe's old empires cannot come to give us lessons in democracy

The old empires of Europe lack the morals to try to give lessons in democracy to the people of Venezuela, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“Let us Europeans not forget that we have the Pizarro banner, that we crushed them and plunged them out of South America 200 years ago,” said the Head of State during a meeting with the people at the Miraflores Palace, to celebrate his swearing in for the period 2025-2031.

In the same way, the President thanked all the Venezuelan people who filled 10 streets in the center of Caracas and spread out to more than 200 cities in the country to accompany him in swearing in for the new term.

“I received the President's band made by the people for the people's president. I feel his weight, his strength and I was filled with a lot of emotions,” he said.
