The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated this Wednesday the La Mulata aqueduct in the Pedro María Ureña municipality of the state of Táchira, to guarantee drinking water to the inhabitants of the town
“This was because of a 1x10 Good Governance report from you, from the community and we came to evaluate and start the work up the mountain. This is the first big step, but a second higher phase is coming until we achieve what we are going to achieve: that you here in Ureña have your water intakes, your aqueducts and the water reaches the house every day, we are going to achieve it in the time that is to come,” said the Head of State.
This aqueduct has a 19.5-kilometer installation of 16-inch, 12-inch, 10-inch and 8-inch pipes, with four bridge/tubes. 20 suction cups and 10 discharge valves were also installed, a system that will supply the entire Pedro María Ureña municipality.
In the second phase, it is planned to increase the water flow, from 60 to 120 liters per second, which represents 5 million 200 thousand liters of water.
